We are very pleased to announce Jan Higgins, PhD, ELS, has taken on the role of Managing Editor for JID Innovations. Jan joins JID Innovations from the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG), where she was the Executive Managing Editor of Genetics in Medicine and Genetics in Medicine Open for the last 17 years.
Jan comes from a research background, completing her PhD at Edinburgh University, prior to switching over to journal management. Having been in the roles of both scientific author and reviewer during her research years, she understands and is committed to providing an excellent author and reviewer experience. She will be a great resource, working to increase submissions to JID Innovations and support the journal’s commitment to high quality research and advancing research in skin biology and dermatology.
