The Department of Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services (http://www.albertahealthservices.ca) invites applications at the Assistant Professor level for a Contingent Tenure-track position in academic dermatology and research, with a particular focus in the areas of the skin microbiome, immunity and inflammation, precision medicine, and/or cutaneous oncology.

Qualifications required include a MD, certification in Dermatology and eligibility for regular licensure in the Province of Alberta. An advanced research degree such as a PhD or equivalent research training and experience is also required. The successful candidate will be involved in dermatologic research and will participate in teaching at the University of Calgary in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate clinical and academic programs. The position will have up to 70% protected time for research.  Duties will include providing clinical care to patients as part of their membership within the Section/Division of Dermatology.

Applicants must present evidence of success as a clinician-researcher, as demonstrated through academic productivity in terms of presentations, peer-reviewed research publications, and grant funding. Evidence of successful teaching and/or research supervision would be an asset. Further, evidence of collaborations with other researchers and academic engagement in professional and other communities will be assessed.
