The Dermatology Branch of the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD is recruiting for a Staff Clinician.
The NIH formalized the concept of Staff Clinician as an intramural research appointment in 1993 reflecting the importance of multidisciplinary research teams. NIH Staff Clinicians possess highly specialized and superb clinical and clinical research skills and expertise and perform critical functions as key members of a research team whose project goals are defined by a Principal Investigator.
We are seeking a Dermatologist with experience in clinical research, including the design and conduct of clinical research. Outstanding interpersonal skills, evidence of teamwork and mentoring experience; and excellent oral and written communication skills are desired. The ideal candidate will be experienced in management of patients with a variety of cutaneous disorders, have outstanding personal and professional references, and have a track record of national presentations and/or publications in respected journals. It is anticipated that this position will include approximately 50% of time devoted to supporting the Dermatology Consultation Service at the NIH Clinical Research Center.
