The successful Director of Research candidate will be a MD, MD/PhD. The primary responsibility is to provide leadership in research settings for the Department of Dermatology. Incumbent will be responsible for building infrastructure, which includes the development of operating procedures. These operating procedures may include IRB creation, submission, and compliance; investigational device exemption creation, submission, and compliance; Principal Investigator support with protocol development and/or modification; clinical subject management’ contract negotiation with sponsors in coordination with Department Administrator and Administrative Business Associate; and ensuring all federal and state regulations are followed completely. The incumbent will participate in mentoring of learners and colleagues across the education spectrum.
UNMC is a premier academic medical center located in Omaha, NE with newly built research and clinical space. Total campus research space is approximately 1 million square feet. Active training programs exist in basic and clinical sciences.
