Guidelines for All Oral Presenters

CME Disclosure Requirements

In accordance with CME guidelines, all oral presentations must include a disclosure slide as the first slide of your presentation. If a real or perceived conflict of interest exists related to your work, you must announce it verbally before your talk begins and display it on your poster as well. No organizational logos are permitted on your presentation slides.

Preparing and Uploading Your Slides

Presentation files must be uploaded no later than 6 hours before your scheduled talk. Uploads are completed in person at the Speaker Ready Room (Buckingham Room, Main Level). See Speaker Ready Room hours below.  LCD Projectors will be available in each lecture room.  There will be resources to display both PC and MAC-based platforms and software.  The Speaker-Ready room personnel will also be able to download Zip and CD/DVD files.

Prior Publication and Simultaneous Submission

Presented material must not have been published prior to abstract submission or presented at any international meeting before the date of your presentation at the 2026 SID Annual Meeting. Simultaneous submission of the same abstract to other meetings is not permitted. Only one abstract may be presented by the same author at the meeting, though a presenter may appear as a co-author on any number of submissions.

Social Media

If you do not want information from your presentation slides shared on social media, add a “DO NOT POST” watermark to your slides. This helps minimize the likelihood that your work will appear publicly online before you are ready.

Poster Requirement for Oral Presenters

All oral presenters, including those in Plenary, Concurrent Minisymposia, and ePoster Talk sessions, are required to bring and display a physical poster and be present at their poster board during their assigned Poster Session. See the Poster Presentations section below for full details.

Poster Presentations

All accepted abstracts, whether selected for oral presentation or not, require a physical poster to be displayed in the exhibit hall during the meeting.

Poster Location: Salon B, C, and D, Lower Level, Hilton Chicago

Installation and Removal

Installations: Wednesday, May 13, 2026, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Remove Posters: Saturday, May 16, 2026, by 12:00 PM

Posters left after 12:00 PM CDT on Saturday, May 16 will be discarded and cannot be returned. The SID Annual Meeting organizers are not responsible for unclaimed posters.

Poster Specifications

  • Maximum size: 44 inches wide × 42 inches long
  • Please bring your poster in a format that can be mounted to a standard poster board. Pushpins or mounting materials will be provided on-site.
  • Consider adding a QR code linking to your lab website, supplemental figures, or related content — a simple way to extend engagement beyond the session.
  • Poster templates (PDF and PowerPoint) are available as a reference guide, though their use is not required.

Social Media

If you do not want images of your poster shared on social media, add a “DO NOT POST” watermark to your poster. This helps minimize the likelihood that your work will appear publicly online before you intend.

Below is information about poster printing services available to meeting attendees.  The SID has partnered with KiKo Poster Printing Service to simplify your poster printing experience.

For $75, you’ll receive the following:
