The Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID) Travel Fellowships help fund travel for younger members to attend various education programming where limited funding is available. As SID members, your contributions to the Travel Fellowships’ Fund can make a real difference in the career trajectory of young investigators. These promising individuals who represent the future of our field will have the opportunity to share insights, best practices, and ideas from different continents and cultures. Financial support is something that they cannot do without. They desperately need our support—material, financial, and personal—through mentorship, friendship, and funding.
SID is committed to fostering and nurturing the careers of young investigators. The most vulnerable of our community of scholars and scientists are those investigators at the beginning of their careers, either as postdoctoral fellows or junior faculty. Unfortunately, due to insufficient funding levels approximately 70% of the travel grant applications will go unfunded.
You can help.
Lending your financial support communicates to our young investigators the intangible benefits of being a part of the talented, collegial and close-knit worldwide network of investigative dermatologists that is The Society for Investigative Dermatology.
