Networking Events

The Annual Meeting will feature networking and social events that give attendees the opportunity to interact with colleagues. Enjoy the following events, and make new professional connections.

Welcome Reception
On Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm, there will be a Welcome Reception to kick off the Meeting. All attendees are invited, free of charge, to gather for drinks and hors d’oeuvres and mingle with colleagues at City Plaza. City Plaza is on historic Fayetteville Street and is located right outside the front entrance of the Marriott Raleigh City Center.

Trainee Dinner
Over the past several years, the SID has encouraged meetings between residents and post-doc fellows. To promote collegiality, the SID annually presents a Trainee Dinner—small group meetings in which senior and junior scientists and a group of four to six residents and post-doc fellows discuss issues over dinner. These sessions provide an opportunity to talk informally about subject matter of interest including research opportunities in dermatology,
life in academia or how to combine clinical work with research. Join us Friday, May 11 from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm. TICKETED EVENT: PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Social Event
Come celebrate the SID’s 75th Anniversary with us on Thursday, May 10 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm in the Raleigh Convention Center. Get ready for a night of delicious food, music and fun. More information will be available on the SID website under the Annual Meeting tab for this much anticipated event.
