Resident Retreat
The Resident Retreat for Future Academicians is a two-day informal meeting that seeks to expose young physicians to the challenges and rewards of careers in academics. The Retreat was instituted by the SID in 2000 in response to data that showed the number of academicians in dermatology was rapidly decreasing. Residents and faculty meet to discuss advantages of careers in research and teaching, as well as funding opportunities and opportunities for advancement in academic careers.

This opportunity is best suited to companies who have an interest in supporting education, teaching and career advancement programming.


Resident/Fellow JID Subscriptions
The SID offers reduced subscriptions to the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) for residents and fellows. We seek ongoing support for this program, which exposes hundreds of residents and fellows to the JID’s cutting-edge scientific content.
