Members of the SID are today’s thought leaders in dermatology, who are working to find the causes of and cures for skin disease. Members are active advocates who participate in programming and activities that illustrate and present evidence of the burden of skin disease to national, state and local government officials. Our members, through these advocacy efforts, seek to increase and retain funding for necessary research programs that may one day ease the burden for the 33 percent of Americans who will suffer from skin disease today, tomorrow or in the future.
