For Trainees

The SID is an organization that nurtures the next generation of physicians and scientists. We recognize that today’s trainees are the men and women who will become the future members, directors and officers of the SID. Therefore, it is a primary goal of the SID to offer programming to junior investigators and clinician scientists that will help shape and enhance their careers. Programming currently includes special educational programs, advocacy training, educational tracks, volunteer opportunities and chances to exchange ideas with other trainees and to meet experienced researchers in the field.

The Annual Meeting is a perfect place for residents, PhD post-doctoral fellows, and students to present research, meet with colleagues, network and learn the latest in research, products and services. In fact, the Annual Meeting’s largest attendance category is the Resident/Post-doctoral Fellow/Student category, with 500 attending annually.
