American Academy of Dermatology -  Awards for Young Investigators
Nomination Deadline September 30, 2008 

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) annually recognizes excellence in basic and clinical research by two dermatologists-in-training in the United States or Canada through the AAD Awards for Young Investigators in Dermatology. 

Winners of this award will receive a $5,000 prize that is shared with the research institutions supporting these scientific achievements.

Training Program in Cell and Molecular Dermatology
Postdoctoral fellowships are available starting May 1, 2008 in our NIH-funded Training Program in Cell and Molecular Dermatology at the University of Michigan.  Training opportunities are available in basic science and clinical / translational research.  Areas of focus include psoriasis (genetics, genomics, and immunology), cutaneous immunology, cancer biology, stem cell biology, chronological aging, and photoaging.  Due to NIH restrictions, trainees must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) is accepting proposals for a seed-money grant of up to $45,620 for a two-year clinical study related to the diagnosis or treatment of APECED/APS Type 1. Click here for RFP

2008 ICHTHYOSIS CLINICAL SCHOLAR PROGRAM

The Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types (F.I.R.S.T.) is currently accepting applications for an Ichthyosis Fellow.  The broad goals of the Fellowship Program are to identify and train the next generation of clinicians who will treat patients with ichthyosis and who, through their own clinical and laboratory investigations, advance understanding of this group of diseases.
