Networking & Social Events

The Annual Meeting will feature networking and social events
that give attendees the opportunity to interact with colleagues.
Enjoy the following events, make new professional connections
and enjoy catching up with old friends.
Welcome Reception:
On Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, there will
be a Welcome Reception to kick off the Annual Meeting. All
attendees are invited, free of charge, to gather for drinks and
hors d’oeuvres and mingle with colleagues at the Albuquerque
Convention Center immediately following the last session of the
Social Event:
Come celebrate the SID’s 2014 Annual Meeting Social Event with
us on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm at the
Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. Get ready for a night of
delicious food (Southwest flavor), music (outdoor amphitheater)
and fun (tethered hot-air balloon rides!).

the Annual Meeting tab for this much anticipated event.
Trainee Dinner:
Throughout the years, the SID has encouraged meetings between
Residents and Post-Doc Fellows. To continue its promotion of
collegiality, the SID presents a Trainee Dinner – small group
meetings in which senior and junior scientists and a group of
four to six residents and post-doc fellows – discuss issues over
dinner. These sessions provide an opportunity to talk informally
about subject matter of interest including research opportunities
in dermatology, life in academia or how to combine clinical work
with research. Join us Friday, May 9 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Concurrent After-Session Q&A:

There will be changes to the traditional concurrent
minisymposia sessions during the SID Annual
Meeting. The number of talks during each session
will be reduced (from 15-12) and the extra time
will be devoted to having an additional question
and answer session time with all the speakers in
roundtable atmosphere. This “after-session” will be led by the
session moderators and will have snacks and refreshments for
all in attendance.
